    Intel headlines at Cambridge masterclass

The Embedded Masterclass has announced that Intel is to be the headline sponsor at the event this year.

The Embedded Masterclass exhibition and conference covers microprocessor technology, debug and development tools and embedded software.

This year's event will take place at Bar Hill, near Cambridge on Wed 5th October.

"We are very pleased to have Intel on board," said David Williams, director of UMR, the company organising the event.

"With developments such as the Atom, Intel have brought a lot of innovation to the embedded space in recent years and I feel sure engineers will be keen to learn about their latest offering and their vision for future devices," said Williams.

"The Embedded Masterclass is a very good fit for us," said Susan Zabel, Marketing Manager for Intel Embedded Group.

Vendors at last year’s event included Wind River, SDC Systems, Green Hills Software, Lauterbach, Phaedrus Systems, IAR, and QNX Software.

The technical workshops included such topics as Embedded Linux development, Graphical Interface Development and Software Timing Analysis.

"Some of these workshops provide laptops and hardware for hands-on instruction. More than 90 engineers registered for these workshops at the 2010 event and the feedback from them has been very positive throughout,” said Williams
