Qorvo introduces new members to add new CATV products to its rich product portfolio

Qorvo, Inc., a provider of RF solutions, today announced that it has expanded its CATV portfolio with two new control products, the QPC3624 and QPC3024, designed specifically for the DOCSIS 3.1 wired network. The new additions provide cable operators with greater network design flexibility to increase upstream and downstream bandwidth and reduce power consumption.

Qorvo's new control components use silicon-on-insulator (SOI) process technology to provide proven performance and reliability for networked control applications. The QPC3624 is a 6-bit DSA with high linearity and low insertion loss, as well as glitch-free attenuation and faster switching speeds. QPC3024 RF absorption switch operating frequency of 5MHz to 3GHz, 250ns typical performance to support faster switching speed. Both QPC3624 and QPC3024 support DOCSIS 3.1.

Qorvo offers more than 60 components that support DOCSIS 3.1, including attenuators, switches, power multiplier amplifiers, pre-driver gain units, push-pull amplifiers, and reverse path amplifiers. Qorvo utilizes a highly differentiated internal development process technology, including GaN High Electron Mobility Transistor (HEMT) technology, to provide excellent linearity, output power and reliability.

Both the QPC3624 and QPC3024 are now available in samples and evaluation boards, and will be available in small quantities in October and November 2016, respectively. Both products will be on display at the Qorvo booth 2003 at the SCTE Cable Technology Show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Sept. 26-29, 2016.
