Systems firm expands as US business doubles

Verotec has moved to a new facility with more than twice the space of its existing unit following expansion of its enclosures and systems business.

The company’s US-based business has doubled sales in the last three years and has recently secured two large integrated systems orders from major defence contractors.

The Chandlers Ford-based supplier has streamlined its distribution network with the removal of poorly performing outlets.

It has also increased its visibility with international catalogue distributors.

“We have increased our headcount by more than 20% and the future is looking very positive with a strong order book,” said Verotec commercial director Tim Armstrong.

New products introduced include KM6 HD, a ruggedised subrack for military and railway applications, cPCI and VME development systems, enhanced intelligent fan trays and EMC rack cases.

“Some very exciting new products are due to debut in the near future,” said Armstrong.

Located on the same Chandlers Ford industrial estate, the new factory will be used for product stockholding, R & D, production and assembly work.

Verotec is a supplier of VeroPower pluggable PSUs which are manufactured by EPLAX in Germany.

The company has also fitted roof-mounted solar panels that it says will generate sufficient power to make the unit almost independent of the mains electricity grid
